She spent nearly a year working at National Geographic before transitioning into real estate, first as an assistant to another top agent, then as an office manager and listings and closings coordinator for a bustling DC-based team, and now a full-time agent and partner in The Hersh Group with Long & Foster.

Katie’s vast and varied experience, gained in her 15 years both “in the front office” working with clients and behind the scenes managing all sides of residential housing sales, make her uniquely qualified to help both buyers and sellers alike in our busy market while expertly anticipating and averting roadblocks to ensure her clients have a smooth and stress-free experience (and ideally some fun along the way!).

Katie lived in Mount Pleasant for over 10 years before spending 2 ½ years in London where she married her husband, Anthony. She and her family now call Takoma Park home, where they enjoy being active in their vibrant community, exploring our area’s beautiful state and national parks, and visiting local historic sights and museums. An avid pianist and singer, Katie is also a volunteer with DC Central Kitchen, as well as an enthusiastic supporter of the Smithsonian Associates education programs and the local arts.
